Share Your World

Many thanks to Cee from Cee’s Photography for helping me come up with my NaBloPoMo post for today.  Cee hosts a weekly “Share Your World” Q&A session so that bloggers can get to know each other.  Cee asks the question, the blogger answers them.

James May 13 2009 069What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word “fun”?  If you know me, you might expect me to say “race-cation,” which would be 100% true, but fun also makes me think of karaoke!  Or Happy Hour… but then karaoke and happy hour go hand in hand, don’t they!

What is your favorite time of day? Definitely morning!  It’s so peaceful… no noise, only the birds singing, no built-up stress from the day (yet).  Every morning is a time to start brand new.

Given the choice of anyone in the world, whom would you want have a evening with? There is no one in the world I would rather spend an evening with more than the people I spend every single evening with… my family.  Unless it’s Michael Buble, and I’m with my husband, and we’re seeing him in concert… oh, I guess that’s more of an IDEAL evening as opposed to who…

Complete this sentence: Something that anyone can do that will guarantee my smile is… show me a cute animal picture, video, or better yet, place an animal in my hands to hold. When I hold or look at animals, all my cares and worries seem to just melt away.  Such genuine souls.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?  Last week I am grateful that my ankle incident wasn’t an actual injury, and this week, I’m looking forward to Friday Happy Hour with James (minus the karaoke, hehe).

I loved reading your answers! And those photos are adorable!! I didn’t know you have a rabbit, how cute! I grew up always having a rabbit, and haven’t had one since Lucas and I have been together, since having the two cats has been more than enough! I’d like to get another one someday though, they’re so much fun! (Shh, don’t tell Lucas yet though. 😉 )

Thank you Lydia! 😀 Bunnies definitely are a blast! But Daryl (the bunny) isn’t mine. I actually babysit him at the facility. I run bunny daycare, lol! He’s the clinic manager’s (Jess) and I’m his favorite auntie, haha! I spoil him rotten. One time, someone said to Jess (right in front of me), “Daryl’s getting fat!” and Jess looked right at me as if to say it was all my fault, can you believe that, hehe. Yes, it’s all my fault, I admit it. I get him all kinds of stuff from the treat store. But I get to love on him and then send him home to his mom, hehe. It’s too fun. Unfortunately, Sheba (the black outside kitty) hunts bunnies, so I can’t have one myself either. Lucas will love having a bunny one day, hehe!

Well that makes sense why I didn’t know you had a bunny! 😉 That’s so adorable, and he definitely looks like a Daryl! That story is too funny, that sounds just like something I would do! I feel that way sometimes when I’m walking the dogs and giving them treats, and then they’re all hyper when their owners come to pick them up, haha! 😀 It is sometimes even better to be able to love on them all day and then just send them off with mom! We’re the grandma’s to the animals. 🙂 I too wonder if my cats would want to eat a bunny if I got one; I don’t think Nelson would since I had a rabbit when I had him (although he was a baby at the time) but I feel like Shikari might try to play with it and accidentally use his claws! Though rabbits have pretty sharp claws too; I think they’d probably be okay. I’ll let you know how it goes when the time comes! hehe 😉

Love all those critters! Animals are just the best stress reducers around- I dare you to pet a cat or scratch a dog’s belly and not smile 🙂 I’ve got cats, dogs, and chickens (they’re pretty cool critters too), and I had rabbits (and much more) when I was a kid. They make great pets 🙂

I’d have them all too if I could. I almost brought home a baby peacock one day from work. He was sooo cute! I put him in the back of my neck under my hair and he fell right to sleep. if wishes were fishes, lol!

Hahaha, yeah, I believe it! He’s not part of the mainstream anywhere. I first saw him on a Starbucks commercial in 2004 and have been hooked ever since. He sings old crooner songs and he’s sooo awesome. I have all his songs for the karaoke too, lol!
