My son, AJ, and his BFF, G. They met when they were 2-1/2 and 1-1/2 respectively and were raised as “brothers from another mother.” This is their transition through the years. In response to The Daily Post Photo Challenge.

Yeah, I know! When they were in preschool together, one nasty lady said, “They’ll grow out of each other. It won’t last forever.” I love that they proved her wrong.

How wonderful, Paula….to be friends since toddler hood to the age they are now is almost unheard of. How did the friendship start? Are you close friends with G’s mother?

We’re actually neighbors. G doesn’t have siblings close to his age, and AJ is an only child, so it’s worked out perfectly over the years. And yes, his mother and I are friends too. We’ve put away many bottles of wine together. :D. The boys say they’re going to live together when they go to college, hehe, and of course, they say they’re going to the same college. 🙂

This is so cool. Not many people have that kind of friendship… and no matter how much their personality or interests change, the time they share can’t be undone. Here’s to another 9 years (at least). 🙂
