Aloha from sunny Maui!
While the race here wasn’t all that we hoped it would be, the recovery has been fantabulous! We’ve had lots of these to ease our pain…
Fabulous views…
Great pool time (for which I had to paint my nails as they are completely destroyed and black and blue from the race… it’s one of those silly foot photos so be glad I did, but you might still be able to see the bandaids)…
Lots of fun and different sights…
Gorgeous flowers…
Lovely Koi…
Breathtaking sunsets…
And daily outside running… yes, the streak continues, blistered feet and all!
It’s been a fabulous vacation!
Thanks to Jackie at A Cooking Pot and Twisted Tales for the Echoes Of My Neighborhood challenge! This is my special neighborhood for the week!
Very lovely pictures. You are living it up my girl. I hear the waves and feel the breeze as well. Is that carving a totem pole?

Thank you! It is a totem pole, but more of a fun one than a traditional one! 🙂

Beautiful! I’m so impressed that you are still streaking, even after running the half and while on vacation! Impressive stuff.

Thank you!! I figure why not, although my feet are none to pleased with me. You’ll see when you run your half, 😀 …. because you have to continue your streak too, 🙂

Yay YOU!! Keeping the streak going! And so good to see you’re enjoying yourself. Yep, I keep my nails painted to camouflage all the icky stuff too! Lovely pictures…I think the sunset is my fav ❤

Such a lovely place to take a vacation. Maybe after your 50 marathons in 50 states you’ll take a vacation from running and actually RELAX next time. Now doesn’t that sound enticing? You’re doing a great job staying focused and will definitely need to reward yourself once you accomplish your goal!

Thanks Tasha! Actually, we went ahead and already booked Maui for next year, with no race! It will be acomplete focus on fun! But don’t get me wrong, we really enjoy our racecations too! It’s just that this race was particularly hard, even for James, 😀

Thank you Lynn! I’m not the best photographer and I know photos don’t really capture the beauty, but Hawaii truly is a special place! If you haven’t been, I highly suggest going!! People are so relaxed and happy and friendly!! 🙂

I guess I should correct and write “sadly, you HAD a blast…” welcome back to the Pacific northwest in winter? 🙂
