My First Vlog

I was so inspired by Jacqueline at A Cooking Pot and Twisted Tales, Cameron at The World’s Biggest Fridge Magnet, and Lynn at Lynz Real Cooking by their video blogs, that I just had to try one!  It was wonderful hearing their voices and I feel I know them just that much more!  So I wanted you to see and hear me and my family, for real… 🙂  Hope you enjoy (we tried to make it quick)!

Yay! Thank you Sharon! That is exactly what I wanted, for you to see the personalities behind the blogs!! 😀 I used to whisper things in AJ’s ear and he’d repeat what I said… I guess he’s too grown up for that now, lol!

Hi Paula, AJ and James! Nice to see you all! Now I feel like we’ve been friends for a very long time, Paula!!! Loved seeing you all on video. Think this is something you’d do on a reg basis?

Thank you Tasha!! I am so glad you feel that way because that’s the kind of feeling I was hoping for!! AJ wants to do a video like every 2 days or so as he’s such a You Tuber, but we may put a quick one up every now and again! Happy hour with James and Paula… now that’ll get interesting real quick, lol!! 😀

Oh my goodness, that is too cute about Esmé!! And thank you!! If you tell me the proper way to say her name, AJ could do something special just for her!! She might feel super special that someone on the computer was talking directly to her! 😀

I thought that’s how you said it, but I didn’t want to butcher it just in case! Okay, we’ll do something this week for her! Ohhhh cute!!! I love doing this kind of stuff!!! Anyway, training is good, thank you!! I ran 8 miles yesterday and I didn’t hurt today, so yayyy!! I consider that successful, lol! 😀

  2. Family to the 5 Power!

My brother in law is 50yrs old and finished his 50th state running marathons. It was his project/hobby/interest the last several years, literally flying into a state for 1-2 days just to run a full marathon. Of course, now he is still doing marathons, even though the 50 are complete. These are huge accomplishments! Keep up the dedication! Great blog.

Thank you so much! That is awesome about your BIL!! We figure it’s going to take us 10 to 12 years to finish it up, but we’re having a great time doing it! It’s all about the journey for us!! 😀 Thank you so much for visiting and commenting! I look forward to getting to know you!!

Thank you so much! Yes, I agree with you!! I love different accents!! So here’s the funny thing, James is actually from the UK so he has a British accent, but he’s been in the U.S. for so long, people think he’s from Australia. He didn’t talk long enough for you to tell, but it’s really funny. And sometimes kinda cute, lol! 😀 (And really, New Zealanders have the best accent ever!!! :D)

You’re right, I didn’t pick up on that! I’m impressed you can tell the difference between Aussie and Kiwi accents, most people say we sound the same, but we can tell the difference lol

        Ooo, another story coming… 🙂
I had a really good friend from NZ, and I just adored her accent, so I copied her and tried to master her dialect! I went to the mall one time and was hanging out, and I pretended to be from Auckland. It was too fun! Anyway, yes, there’s a distinct difference in sound between Kiwi’s and Aussie’s, but I think you all are awesome!!! 😀

Crazy! Nice to see you ‘real people’ as it comes over in a vlog and a very close happy family! I can’t see me doing the same though, my husband is very ‘aware’ of Internet security so I’m not allowed to post pictures of him or my son on social media, say where we are going, definitely not say ‘yay I’m at the airport about to go on my hols’😆😆 I get the odd sneaky pic of my son in though☺️ Hubs worries that if I post my run routes that I will get followed and attacked! Isn’t it lovely that he thinks I’m so precious that someone would want to steal me !!!!

I’ve already tried one, but I actually might do another. I tried practicing one (thought up a subject). I think that’s what I need to do — practice it a bit to get a feel for what angle is right and what I want to say. Otherwise I just look kind of mad . . . in more ways than one!
