MMM #17

It’s time once again for Motivational Music Monday!  Anyone can contribute, so go check out James at 50 in 50 Marathon Quest and add a song and/or link in the comments!

This coming Saturday is

Rock ‘N’ Roll Seattle

our 4th race of 2016!

I’m doing the half & James is doing the full (may heaven help him on all those hills)!

And I couldn’t think of a more appropriate song for this coming week!

For everyone rockin’ it this weekend, we salute you!

Happy Monday!  May you have a blessed week!

I’ll be bawling like a baby from pain if I make it, lol. My feet still hurt so I’m risking a DNF, but I’ll be taped and loaded on ibuprofen, so I just have to give it a shot. We’ll see how it goes, but I hope to have fun with it! Thank you!! 😀

    Hi Paula,
I just sent Jamesy a suggestion for MMM no. 18 or 19 or 20…. i.e. When the going gets tough, the tough get going by Billy Ocean.
While I was looking for the video I came across this one which I just knew you would make you smile (it did me anyway): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pIgZ7gMze7A
(How George managed to get into those shorts I’ll never know).
I also wondered if you’d ever heard this song from Rick Astley (?)

He was a bit of a phenomenon in the 80’s (and has just released another album called “50” apparently to celebrate his 50th birthday).

      Hi Mike,

This comment got hung up in my spam folder, can you believe it. But thankfully I know you got Billy Ocean’s tune on MMM. And we definitely do know Rick Astley over here. Like you said, he was huge in the 80s! I’ll go see if this is one song I know or not.

Ah yes, Never Gonna Give You Up! This is the one that made him huge over here too! 😀 I hadn’t heard about his new album… we’ll have to see if he lives up to standard, hehe!
