March Sadness… and a song

I know a lot of people don’t follow March Madness and the college basketball championship tournament, but I do, and I have to say, I am gutted.  The team I had winning it all was eliminated last night.  Xavier beat the hell out of U of A, and to be honest, I think they had Arizona seeded wrong as a #2.  Regardless, I won’t babble on about it.  My only hope now to stay in first place on my bracket and win all the money is to have Gonzaga lose next week and for me to get all my other picks spot on.  There’s always a chance…

One of my water app plants is growing up quite nicely.  I thought I had killed him as I wasn’t getting any alerts one day, realized it late in the evening, and found him quite sad and thirsty.  But I managed to save him, level him up, and he got quite cute, which really is the only reason I’m sharing.  He’s cute.  And who doesn’t want to share cuteness with others?!

I went out for a nice little run last night, you know, because I’m training for a race and all.  I’m not exactly a heavy hitter when it comes to my stats, but every once in awhile I will check to see if I have any fun numbers.  I kind of got excited with my max pace number from last night.  That is actually the fastest I’ve ever run.  Sometimes stats can be similar to positive reinforcement.  So, yes!  Yay!  I’m getting there!  Now if I could just sustain that particular pace for, oh, say, 13 miles, I’d be super happy.  (Oh, and I climbed a little mountain too… to some of you that have followed me for awhile, that’s the elevation profile for Mo-Fo Hill.)

On to a song…

James told me he was going to post “Victorious” for Motivational Music Monday.  I said, “Oh, you mean Duran Duran?!”  No.  Panic at the Disco.

After processing that for awhile and me thinking about Duran Duran’s Victorious song, I realized the song isn’t called Victorious… It’s called Notorious!!

Okay, well, it rhymes.  And it’s Duran Duran.  Notorious.  Eighties.  You get the picture.

    I had Arizona in the championship game, losing to North Carolina. The Tar Heels are still in it at least for one more game. We’ll see where I am when the dust settles after today’s games.

        Aww, I fell asleep! Now I need North Carolina (a team I don’t really like) to go out here and win the thing, or I have no shot of winning.

    Notorious, hahahahahaha…yeah, I knew that wasn’t quite right but it’s still great song! I like New Moon on Monday too which would be great for Monday Music and all…sorry about your bracket but after doing some simple addition, if Florida keep winning, Kentucky go to the championship and lose, Gonzaga get upset by Xavier and the planets all align in a perfect plane during an eclipse, you can still win 🙂 Plant is looking good…you should try having a go at a couple in the back yard 🙂 Looking forward to a fun outing on our “new” trail Sunday…you’re doing awesome…hugs!

      I feel bad about going against the Zags, but whenever I see UofA is ranked high, I always have to go with them. It’s in my blood. While I want Gonzaga to go down for my brackets (shamefully selfish), I would love to see them win it all. They deserve it. 😀

        hahaha you are so funny! I know nothing about all of this but it is fun to hear you talk about it! Yes they did great I know that for sure! I checked the score last night, my dad was watching. Sorry don’t know about brackets

        Lol, oh sorry… the brackets are how everyone bets on the teams. The person with the most points at the end wins the entire pot. I’m close to winning the entire pot. It’s all just fun. 😀

    I would be over the moon running a half at that pace! Pretty sure it ain’t gonna happen.

    Mr. Judy has some coke rewards thing going with March Madness. He got Xavier & couldn’t figure out where the heck it was . . . until we drove past it on the way in here. 🙂

    Sorry for your loss…lots of folks around here were in the dumps about the Kansas Jayhawks losing but surely they saw it coming lol. Better luck with the rest of your picks!!

      My picks are all gone now, so no hope for me. That’s what happens when you talk smack, lol. James actually had Kansas winning the whole thing, so he’s none too happy either. C’est la vie, haha! 🙂
