I don’t follow instructions that have more than 1 step very well, so I think I’ll go with the latter. Except the child is now old enough to feed himself, so I’m good.
Can someone explain to me how you have 1.5 children?! Are you just suppose to be constantly pregnant?! Sweet baby Jesus! Reason #4526 not to have kids lol
The demands of mom hood are a tough act to follow these days. This is why many of us in lil red dot stay single, or treat pets as “child”. Much to our governments sadness as population not growing ha ha. Glad that your child can feed self now. Kick up your heels and enjoy motherhood!😉
I think the old way is better. Teaches kids independence. My mom made time once a week to spend quality time with us. We knew she was busy, but we also knew we were loved.
Problem is, I know a mother who must have these guidelines as a bible by her bed… she has/does everything except the cul-de-sac.
Geez.
If your child is alive and kicking as a teenager, and mostly happy, I think you’ve done a pretty damn good job.
So, so true! I like to say that sometimes L.E.S. is better. Of course L.E.S. stands for Love, Encouragement, and Support. A child that gets all three from a mother will likely have a special relationship eternally.

“Feed them sometimes” very wise words. This I mastered until they were of age to use the microwave. They actually thought I “cooked” toast.🤣

Lol, thank heavens for microwaves! I don’t know how we would raise kids without them!! 😂

Tell me about it. I would have been lost without one. My poor kids. It’s a miracle they made it to adulthood. Thank heaven for angels.😆

Wow, I am glad I am not a mom in 2017 and that my kids are now able to take care of them selves. Interesting post Paula – Happy Sunday! 🙂

Oh but now it’s coming out that coconut oil isn’t as good for us as “they” previously thought!

Ohmigosh, no kidding!! I hadn’t heard that! I will say that doesn’t surprise me though. One of those fads that go as quickly as it comes in. 😐

Yeah, I just read that a few days ago.

I definitely know my mom was not as involved as so many moms are today, which is not to say she neglected me at all. Different times.

How are you feeling about mother’s day — with AJ gone & all? Hope you have a good day.

He will be home Thursday (yay! I’ve missed him), but even if he were still gone, all would be good. I’d be totally okay with it. 😊

Boy those 2 weeks went by fast! Obviously you didn’t mention it right away. 🙂

Oh, I like that. What a fabulous sentiment. It also makes me feel accomplished as a mother as I make sure my son gets all 3! Thank you so much!
